Below you find a description how to migrate from a UniFi Controller, running inside Docker, to a UniFi Dream Machine.
Environment
- UniFi Controller 6.5.55
- Ubiquiti Dream Machine (UDM)
Workflow
- Install the UDM with default settings
- Update the UDM and UniFi Controller to the latest version. The UniFi Controller should have the same version as the old controller.
- Backup the settings from the old Controller
- Unplug WAN and LAN from your UniFi Firewall (USG)
- Set the IP of the UDM to your Firewall’s IP
- Restore the settings on the UDM
